Ant-Man fights archenemy Yellow Jacket in a city-destroying battle!  (Waterloo, London)

I was excited to be asked by Marvel to create some Ant-Man figures to take out on to the streets of London. A big thanks to Marvel for letting me play in their playground!

MINIATURESQUE solo show - 13th March - 11th April 2015

The Glade
Crystal Palace, London, 2014

I am excited to announce my new solo show, titled Miniaturesque, that opens to the public on March 13th at Andipa Gallery in London.

Created over the past year, Miniaturesque sees me return to London to explore the hidden enclaves of nature within the city and question how we interact with a natural world that we are so often detached from.

The show will feature seventeen new images (including The Glade, featured here) on paper and aluminium as well as new sculptural pieces, one of which is my biggest yet featuring over 200 figures!

Miniaturesque runs from 13th March - 11th April. Please contact art@andipa.com for further information or visit www.andipa.com

Tug of War

Bank of England, London

Images of this new installation, left outside of The Bank of England which will be shown by Andipa Gallery at Multiplied 2014 art fair held at Christies in London. Titled Tug of War, this new image represents the age-old battle between the 'haves' and the 'have-nots', summed up in a tug of war over a dropped £10 note.

To compliment this theme you can view the image at the show as a very limited, 120x180cm aluminium-mounted, glossy 'elite' print. Conversely, theres also the 'people's' version, printed in a tabloid newspaper format using traditional newspaper stock and ink with all the imperfections and idiosyncrasies you'd expect from newsprint. If you haven't got the funds and the palatial space for the elite version, the newsprint version is available for only £10 (of course!) and is an unlimited, unsigned edition for sale to anyone at the show, until it closes.

Also released by Andipa is a 120x80cm version in an edition of 10 and a 80x53cm version in an edition of 20, all signed and numbered.

So pop along and pick up your copy - the show runs from 17th-20th October at Christies in London. Entry is free and you can also see a selection of my other works there too courtesy Andipa Gallery.

Alpining

Fulham, London

I often get asked how long my installations last on the streets - but apart from a few exceptions, I don’t often check them and so don’t really know. This one, shot as part of a commission for NZZ Folio (a Swiss broadsheet supplement) is one of those exceptions. I shot it in September 2013 and two months later it was still intact, with one little intruder. A month after that and everything was still there too. The last time I passed by was March 2014, a few weeks ago, and all but one of the figures remained (with another little intruder - see if you can spot him!).
Which is all a round-about way of saying; sometimes the installations last quite a while!
